Many years ago, I went with Jean Reno to the Cote d’Azur. We rented a yacht and sail to dive a little bit because Jean bought new fins and tried to test them. Unfortunately, the purchase turned out to be not the best and my friend was a bit sad.

To cheer him up, I decided to give him my round sunglasses. I knew he would be happy because he had told me many times before that he liked it very much. When Jean received the gift it immediately improved his mood.

Just at that time, my friend was preparing for the role of a professional killer in the new film. Together, we came up with the idea that the main character could wear round sunglasses. The director, Luc Besson, proved to be delighted with this idea and, ultimately, Jean has played many scenes in them. In this way, my glasses became the most recognizable attribute of Léon the professional.
